Since 2019 my collegue and I curate the international Artist in Residency program linked to Konstmuseet i Skövde - AiRS.

AiRS operates by performing international site-specific open calls, institutional visits and studio visits, creating networks in carefully selected nodes and inviting artists twice a year to Skövde. From the very beginning the aim has been to follow the norm critical vision by the museum, to look at art as an extension of a concept of democracy and to seek way from “traditional” ways of performing residencies in the region and try to create a unique mode of operating an artist in residence. The artistic and curatorial focus in the spring program lays on contemporary art and artists with an extended social art practice working in the public space, while the fall program focuses on open-ended process/production.
